Tottenham Hotspur are lining themselves for yet another domestic season to remember but going into their Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday evening, it's safe to say they still have work to do.

A win and a loss in their group means plenty is riding on the game on Tuesday evening and nothing but a win will do for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

But Spurs shouldn't be worrying too much - in the Premier League they've been absolutely fantastic.

If they can take the form they showed against Manchester City into this game, then we're backing them to bring the points home from Germany.

It's a big game but with a healthy following set to travel to Leverkusen, a win for Pochettino's side should be on the horizon.

But how should they line up? With injuries striking in the 1-1 draw with West Brom this weekend, Pochettino will have to make a couple of changes at least.

So with that in mind, here's the Spurs XI that we think will crush Bayer in this crunch Champions League tie...

GK: Hugo Lloris

French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will start this game and a clean-sheet would be absolutely vital if Spurs want to assure progress through this group.

He's normally solid enough but with Javier Hernandez in the Bayer ranks, don't expect Lloris to have a truly quiet evening throughout.

RB: Kyle Walker

Kyle Walker

England international Kyle Walker always provides fantastic width going forward, you'd be hard pressed to find someone that does as much as this man.

He'll be looking to attack his opposite number as much as possible and help his side to the win they so desperately need.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

Vertonghen

Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen has been immovable in this side for a number of years now and we're expecting him to start the game on Tuesday evening.

Despite a shaky start to his career in England, he's gone on to become one of Spurs' most reliable defenders.

CB: Kevin Wimmer

With Toby Alderweireld coming off with an injury in the game at the Hawthorns last weekend, it's likely Kevin Wimmer will come into the starting eleven for this one.

He's found first-team action hard to come-by during his time in England but we're tipping him to really take his chance and perform in this one.

LB: Ben Davies

Ben Davies

With Danny Rose missing the game against West Brom, we're expecting Ben Davies to keep his place in the Spurs lineup for this one.

He had a decent game against the Baggies and like Wimmer, he'll be looking to impress the gaffer in a rare piece of first-team action.

CDM: Moussa Sissoko

Sissoko

The reason Moussa Sissoko made the move to White Hart Lane is to play Champions League football and now he's here, the pressure is on slightly for him to perform.

He's powerful, pacy and can play a big part in this game, but only if he's at the races.

CDM: Victor Wanyama

Wanyama has slotted into this Spurs side with relative ease and he looks a real unit sitting in-front of the defence.

He's a real midfield enforcer and he'll be looking to completely reduce the Bayer threat if Spurs do end up on the back foot.

RM: Erik Lamela

Lamela

Argentine international Erik Lamela has gone on to become one of Spurs' most important attacking threats this season, despite a quiet start to his Tottenham career.

He was one of the names brought in following the sale of Gareth Bale but this season, we've some great things from the former Roma man.

CAM: Dele Alli

There's only one man who will be playing in this position on Tuesday evening and that's England's Dele Alli.

He scored a vital last-gasp equaliser in the game against West Brom and he'll be looking to help his side to victory in Germany as well.

LM: Christian Eriksen

Eriksen

Denmark international Christian Eriksen might not be the most traditional flanker of all time but he offers some serious skill out wide for Spurs.

His set-pieces and delivery are also superb and he'll be looking to use his assets to help his side to the win in Germany.

ST: Son Heung-min

Korean striker Son Heung-min  has been in inspired form for Tottenham so far this campaign and it's great to see him doing well with Harry Kane ruled out through injury.

He's grabbed his chance with both hands and even when Harry Kane returns, he might struggle to be forced out of the side.
