The 16-year-old was an integral part of the Nigerian team which recently won the Under-17 World Cup, and clubs from all across Europe have been attempting to sign him.
Catalan giants Barcelona were believed to have held talks with Yahaha’s agent last week, but now it appears Tottenham have snuck in and agreed a deal to bring him to White Hart Lane.
The midfielder is set to have a medical in north London before the weekend, ahead of signing a five-year-contract.
Yahaha currently plays for African side Mutunchy Academy.
He is expected to stay with them until his 17th birthday, when he will become eligible to obtain a UK work permit.
The 16-year-old has been likened to Barcelona star Andres Iniesta, as he is a fast and skillful playmaker, capable of playing on the wing or off the striker.
He recently told reporters he had been nicknamed ‘the new Iniesta’ for years, due to his ability to unlock defences with his accurate passing.
