Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood believes that with the pressure off of his side they can secure positive results against the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in the coming weeks.

After a much needed weekend win over Cardiff, Spurs are currently four points off of the top four with 10 games of the season left to play.

While the focus for the teams above them is the title, the North London club are purely playing for Champions League qualification after a difficult season, and will meet three of the sides occupying superior spots in the coming weeks.

A trip to face Chelsea this weekend awaits Tottenham, before tricky ties with Arsenal and Liverpool.

Although they will not enter any of the games as favourites, there is a chance that the White Hart Lane outfit can move up the table with positive results, and Sherwood believes that without the weight of expectation anything is possible:

"I don't know about Chelsea being more ambitious than us, we're going to the Bridge and that's definitely tough, but sometimes expectancy works against you," he is quoted by the Daily Star.

"Some of our fans might have been rubbing their hands expecting a few goals against Cardiff, but it doesn't work like that.

"You've got to earn the right for everything.

"Sometimes when the expectation is not with you, it makes it a little bit easier.

"Games against Chelsea at the Bridge, Arsenal at the Emirates and Liverpool at Anfield, perhaps the pressure's off us a little bit and we can cause a surprise.

"We're looking to mess up as many other people's seasons as we can, and enhance ours at the same time."
