Tottenham have identified Celtic and England goalkeeper Fraser Forster as the ideal man to replace Hugo Lloris if the Frenchman leaves White Hart Lane this summer.
According to MailOnline, Hugo Lloris is refusing to sign a new deal at Spurs and is waiting until after the World Cup before deciding on his future, although it’s widely believed he wants to be playing Champions League football next term.
The North London club are desperate to tie him down on a new long-term deal in order to protect his value, but Lloris will be free to start negotiating a move away from the club in 18 months and could exercise that right if he can’t find a move this summer.
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in Lloris but will have to meet Spurs’ £20million asking price before luring him back to his homeland.
And Spurs are interested in bringing Forster to London in preparation for life without Lloris, while Newcastle’s Tim Krul is also on their radar.
