Tottenham are preparing a move for Montpellier star Younes Belhanda, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The Moroccan is reportedly keen on a switch to the Premier League, despite rumours that he is on the verge of joining Fenerbache.

Although personal terms have been agreed between the two parties, the Turkish giants are yet to finalise a fee with the Ligue 1 club.

This stalling could open the door for Spurs, who would be willing to pay the £9.8m figure demanded by Montpellier.

Belhanda is said to be open to the prospect of moving to England and sees London as the most desirable location.

The North London club are believed to be keen to add some creativity to their midfield, and see the 22-year-old as somebody who can operate effectively behind the front line.

Although Olivier Giroud gained most of the headlines as Montpellier claimed the French League title last year, many hailed Belhanda as the real key player.

The playmaker’s eye for the killer pass was a major part of the club’s attacking set-up, laying on chances for the team’s attacking players.

He has continued his solid for this term and netted against Arsenal in the Champions League.

Belhanda has pent his entire professional career at Montpellier, notching over 100 appearances for the club and winning 15 caps at international level.
