Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul is considering a switch to Fiorentina after the Serie A giants offered him a big pay-day to quit the Premier League, according to the Daily Mirror.

French defender Kaboul has one more year left to run on his current Tottenham deal, but the club remain concerned about his fitness problems.

The 28-year-old has struggled with a long term knee injury during his time at White Hart Lane, and the knock on effects have prevented him returning to his best form.

Now it appears Fiorentina have been in touch with the player’s representatives, with the offer of a lucrative two year contract and the option of a further year.

Tottenham will not rush any decision on the defender’s future, but are aware they face competition if they wish to keep him.

There has also been interest from the Middle East, but Fiorentina remains the most likely option for Kaboul who is thought to want to stay in Europe.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have been keeping a close eye on Argentinos Juniors midfielder Rodrigo Gomez, who is valued at around £3million.
