Tottenham are pondering a move for West Brom’s Ben Foster amid speculation that Hugo Lloris will leave the club this summer, according to reports from The Metro.

With current back up man Brad Friedel now at the very end of a long career, Spurs will need to replace the stopper, and are considering a move for Foster.

The Baggies glovesman – who recently made England’s 23-man World Cup squad – has cemented himself as one of the Premier League’s more consistent ‘keepers in recent seasons, and is considered as one of the Midlanders’ top names.

Tottenham are thought to be confident that they can lure him away from The Hawthorns, with the prospect of challenging for European qualification much more likely with the Lilywhites.

Nottingham Forest’s Karl Darlow is also an option.

The 23-year-old made 45 outings for the Championship side last season and is considered to be one of the best goalies outside of England’s top tier.
