Ex-West Ham midfielder Valon Behrami says that he is ready to wait until after the World Cup to decide his future amid interest from Tottenham.

Spurs have been strongly linked with the Napoli man over the course of the past few weeks as chairman Daniel Levy and sporting director Franco Baldini look to step up transfer plans despite the club currently being in a manager-less state following Tim Sherwood’s sacking.

The Italian side are rumoured to be ready to cash in on the versatile Swiss star, with the Lilywhites leading the chase alongside Inter Milan and Dortmund.

Although speculation is intense, Behrami says that he is currently concentrating on his World Cup campaign and that any talk of a transfer can wait until after the World Cup:

“Now we have the World Cup, which is the thing I care about the most at this time.” He is quoted by talkSPORT.

“My future? We will see in the summer.”

Behrami was a West Ham player between 2008 and 2011, where his industrious displays and ability to fill in at full-back and in midfield made him a fans’ favourite.
