Tottenham have been told to include Roberto Soldado if they want to sign Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin from Inter Milan, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Colombian international has been heavily linked with a move away from the San Siro in recent weeks, with Manchester United rumoured to see him as an alternative to Arturo Vidal.

But now it has emerged that Spurs are frontrunners, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to add some energy and power to his central ranks.

Initially it was said that Inter wanted at least £14m straight cash for their man, yet now reports claim that they’re willing to knock around £4m off of that If Soldado is included.

The Lilywhites are likely to be reluctant to accept the Italians’ valuation of the Spaniard, whom they signed last summer for £26m.

Soldado endured an awful debut season in England, and is though to be seen as surplus to requirements by Pochettino.

The 29-year-old is also wanted by Atletico Madrid.
