After much speculation, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy finally exercised the contractual clause to dispense with Tim Sherwood’s services as manager. The news that nearly everybody had expected for some time eventually broke earlier today, with Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino identified by many outlets as the most likely successor.
A divisive figure in the dugout, Sherwood’s sacking received a mixed response from Spurs’ fans on Twitter.

Just like the man himself, Sherwood’s sacking has divided Spurs’ supporters. If the rumours are to be believed however, the former Tottenham manager won’t be out of work for long.
