Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has ruled out a move for English legend David Beckham in the January transfer window despite his admiration for the player.

Beckham trained with Spurs at this point last year to keep up to speed with the game, but Harry Redknapp’s welcoming approach doesn’t seem to be reciprocated by his predecessor.

"He is such a wonderful player,” AVB told Sky Sports.

“The rhythm of the Premier League is intense but he has so much experience of it.

"He brings so much to English football. That's why everyone is anxious to see which move he is going to take.

"It would be good to have him back in Europe, but not here, no. I don't think so."

Beckham has in the past dismissed a move back to English football unless it is playing for Manchester United, but a move to France has been rumoured for a number of weeks now.
