There was an inevitable circulation of banter on Twitter following Liverpool’s late collapse against Crystal Palace last night. Fans of other sides rejoiced in the Merseysiders’ despair. But there was one particular tweet which angered the Anfield faithful.

After Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez were both shown to be in tears following the full time whistle, Robert Huth’s comments attracted a lot of heat. Some football fans loved the Stoke defender’s brutal honesty.

However, Liverpool fans were understandably less than positive in their responses.

In any case, Gerrard and Suarez’s tears reflected the feeling that the draw at Selhurst Park may just have ended Liverpool’s title dreams this season.
