Liverpool’s Premier League title credentials have been questioned all season. Many believed that today’s game against Manchester City would show that they aren’t quite ready.
That hasn’t been the case and, after 19 minutes, Manchester City found themselves trailing 1-0 due to a Raheem Sterling goal and, to make matters worse, without midfield enforcer Yaya Toure.
They say good or bad things come in threes and it was certainly the case for Manuel Pellegrini’s side. With Yaya forced off with an injury, his replacement Javi Garcia was issued with a yellow card just seconds after coming on.
