Stoke and West Brom are keeping tabs on unsettled Dynamo Kiev forward Dieumerci Mbokani, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The Baggies were heavily linked with the Congolese forward over the summer, while Mark Hughes is also believed to be keen to bolster his attacking options.

Mbokani only moved to the Ukrainian giants over the summer but, despite his reputation for being a top quality centre-forward, he has struggled to hold down a first-team berth with manager Oleg Blokhin often opting to rotate his options.

This has frustrated the 27-year-old, who claims that he needs regular action:

"I want to play every game," he said.

"I do not appreciate the rotation system applied by the coach. I do not want to spend games on the bench - I need games on the pitch.

"Without games, I have no rhythm. The coach says he wants to prevent players getting tired but I need games."

This may cause Mbokani to pursue a January move away from Eastern Europe, which could prompt Stoke and West Brom to up their interest.

Steve Clarke sees him as the ideal man to fill the void left after Romelu Lukaku’s loan spell expired, while Potters chief Hughes may look to the ex-Anderlecht man as he continues to overhaul his inherited squad.

Should West Brom or Stoke move for Dieumerci Mbokani?
