Peter Odemwingie says it is ‘only a matter of time before’ he leaves West Brom following the breakdown of his transfer to QPR, the Independent report.
The enraged Nigerian international has accused the Baggies of going back on their word to allow him to join Harry Redknapp’s side and blocking him from leaving the Midlands.
Odemwingie arrived at Loftus Road on Deadline Day in an attempt to push through a move but was denied access and forced to head back to the Hawthorns after Albion claimed their was no agreement and refused him permission to speak to the west London club..
The 31-year-old was interviewed by Sky Sports News on Friday morning, reiterating his desire to leave West Brom but insisting that he will honour his contract.
“When I went on television that is when they said ‘that’s it, the deal is off”, he said.
“I will still leave the club. It is only a matter of time. My contract is going to run out in a year and a half. I wasn’t offered an extension. One day my career will end, one day my contract will run out.
“I understand I have to honour any contract but the club know I have wanted to leave for some time now.”
