Slaven Bilic spoke to the press this morning as he previewed West Ham's game against Middlesbrough this weekend, as well as speaking about the night out his players went on earlier this week. That jaunt drew comments from some quarters as Andy Carroll and Darren Randolph were apparently pictured drunk during the day on Tuesday, the day after they'd gone out, and Bilic was asked for his thoughts on the issue:He said (via Sky Sports): "Of course there has been some rumours in the papers, but it's private. It was suggested (Carroll and and Randolph were drunk on Tuesday) and it’s not proven. We are going to see what happens. I spoke to the chairman and we have a game at the weekend we are totally concentrated on. Then we will speak after the game and, if necessary, we are going to act."The Croatian also said that the night-out wasn't a bad idea and that it was his decision:"We had a big meeting and spoke, and at the end I told Mark (Noble) to take the guys out and go for a meal, and to spend some time together. It’s always a good idea."

Attention then turned to the game itself with the Hammers hosting Boro on Saturday, with Bilic saying: "One good result can change the whole season. We cannot think it is just going to happen. We need to earn it."

He also gave an injury update on his squad with at least one bit of positive news concerning one player: "Almost the same squad we had last week. Both left backs are still out and it was never about days for the two of them. Aaron Cresswell starts training on Monday and should be back after the international break. Havard Nordtveit is also doubtful."

West Ham are currently 18th in the Premier League and a win would see them leapfrog Middlesbrough on Saturday.
