Unless you've had your head stuck in a vase for the last few days, you're probably already aware that Dimitri Payet no longer wants to play for West Ham.

With over two weeks of the January transfer window remaining, that leaves the Hammers in a rather sticky situation.

On the one hand, the Irons have already turned down a bid from former club Marseille and Slaven Bilic has insisted the east Londoners have no intention of selling; on the other, the Hammers gaffer has understandably banished Payet from training.

"We aren't going to sell him. It's not a money issue or anything. We want to keep our best players... but until he changes his attitude he is out of the team and he's not going to train with us."

The situation seems unsustainable. West Ham are essentially paying a top-class player hundreds-of-thousands of pounds a week not to play for anybody else which, although potentially beneficial depending on who his next club might be, makes very little financial sense. Then again, forcing Payet to see out the remainder of his contract would certainly set an example throughout the club.

It's a difficult dilemma for Bilic, who must somehow navigate his way around it without losing face or too much money. So we're keen to hear the supporters' views on how West Ham should handle the Payet situation.

Should they try to sell before the window closes, wait until the summer or leave the France international to rot in the reserves for the foreseeable future?
