It jus has to go right at some point for West Ham, doesn't it?

The Hammers have had a pretty woeful start to the season with both on and off field problems clearly taking their toll on the whole club and bar a late, great, free kick from Dimitri Payet against Accrington Stanley things could have got seriously worse.

Nevertheless, that free-kick from their star man could be the moment the Hammers need to get their season going at last and we shall soon see if that's the case against Southampton at the weekend.

It looks, at the moment, like Slaven Bilic doesn't even know his best team and until he works that out the club could still be in flux but at least when he does they should be okay.

We reckon Bilic just needs to make a few tweaks, three in fact, to win against the Saints...

Gamble on Fletcher

ASHLEY FLETCHER

We've seen a number of young players take starring roles this season with Marcus Rashford and Kelechi Iheanacho putting in stand-out performances up front, so is it time for Ashley Fletcher to get the same chance? Simone Zaza had a shocker against West Brom last time out and Fletcher's inevitable fearlessness and talent could be just the thing the Hammers need to get out of this rut.

Bring in Randolph

Darren Randolph

Adrian has had a pretty poor campaign so far this season, flapping at pretty much anything that comes near him. With that in mind is it not time to give him a rocket and send Darren Randolph in? On paper Randolph may not be as good but he's still a decent keeper and equally, what's the point in having a number two if you don't use him when your number one is bang out of form?

Time for Arbeloa

Arbeloa

Bilic has been chopping and changing his full-backs a lot over the start of this season so really it must be time for the experienced Spaniard to come in and show exactly why he was signed. He won't get forward much but defensively he's as good as anything the Hammers have and right now all they need is a calming presence, that's what Arbeloa is.
