's club record signing Matt Jarvis has revealed that he is enjoying his time at Upton Park and feels right at home in East London.

The winger joined from Wolves in a £10.75 million deal in August and has since put in some impressive performances that have made him an instant hit with the Hammers fans.

And it's the fans who Jarvis believes can help Sam Allardyce's West Ham claim another three points at home against Southampton this weekend.

He told the Daily Mail: "I think with us being at home, we’ll be fired up to put in a great performance.

"Southampton are a great side as they showed last season but being at home in front of our fans gives us a better chance.

"That’s a big reason why I’m enjoying my football down here - the Upton Park crowd behind you, with the noise they generate and the bubbles blowing everywhere before the game.

"I feel right at home here."

Jarvis also remains hopeful that he and on-loan striker Andy Carroll can build up a strong relationship on the field  and provide the goals that will ensure West Ham enjoy a good first season back in the Premier League.

‘There’s 6ft plus of him, so he certainly makes his presence felt around the place," he continued.

"He’s showing what he can do on the pitch and I’m going to be providing the ammunition for him to go and get on the end of.

"We all know that whatever kind of ball you put into the box, he’s going to be bursting to get on it and that’s good to know as a winger. Hopefully we can strike up a good understanding."
