It looks as though Alvaro Arbeloa could be off to West Ham this Deadline Day.

Speculation over the signing went into overdrive after the Hammers tweeted this:

Now many are of the impression it will be the former Real Madrid and Liverpool man to join Slaven Bilic's outfit given the rumours doing the rounds earlier this summer. The Spaniard has bags of experience in the Champions League and Premier League as well as winning the biggest competition of them all with his country in 2010, and could just be the ideal person to help tutor Sam Byram at the back.

The club have been playing Michail Antonio at right-back a fair bit but many are of the impression he's better off playing further forward, so in bringing in the experienced Arbeloa the club are allowing the former Nottingham Forest man off the leash a bit.

It's still yet to be confirmed by the club but it seems as though the Spaniard is the mystery man and West Ham fans have certainly had a lot to say about the emerging news...
