West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is set to sign a new contract next week and stay on as manager.

The 58-year-old’s long-term future at West Ham has been uncertain this season and there had been talk he could walk away in the summer.

However, after keeping the Hammers in the Premier League – with even a top 10 finish in their grasp with two games still to go – it now seems the former Bolton and Newcastle manager will be staying on and is tipped to put pen to paper in the next seven days.

Well-placed reports on Friday have confirmed the club are keen to retain Allardyce’s services and ‘Big Sam’ is likely to sign an extension – with either a one or two-year deal expected.
