Once considered as one of England’s brightest prospects after scintillating performances for Newcastle, Andy Carroll has seen his career come to a stall in recent years.

Carroll’s saw his stock rise following a prolific spell with Newcastle which featured high profile goals against Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. He earned a £35million move to Liverpool, the record for an English player and, after an unimpressive stint, made the move to West Ham.

With the Hammers, he has so far failed to impress consistently. While on loan last season, Carroll struck seven goals in 24 appearances. After a £15m permanent move, Carroll signed a six year contract and has so far suffered from indifferent form and niggling injury setbacks. He has managed only five appearances and has failed to score this season. But he has contributed with three assists in what has been a dismal season so far.

As we approach the Cheltenham Festival, Carroll took the time to unwind and attend the event. Catch the footage of his appearance here…
