Andy Carroll may have not had a great impact at Liverpool during his spell at Anfield but the West Ham forward certaintly put himself about against his old club, when he faced them in the Premier League at Upton Park.

The England international used his physical strength to cause all sorts of problems for his old team.  Although in the build up to Guy Demel’s goal for West Ham he appeared to have punched Simon Mignolet.

Liverpool supporters were outraged as a goal was awarded despite Carroll’s misdemeanour and it may mean he won’t receive a particularly warm welcome when he next visits Anfield. All could be forgiven by then as the Reds still emerged with a 2-1 victory and continued their title charge.
