Granit Xhaka says he is happy at his present club Borussia Monchengladbach, despite being linked with a switch to West Ham.

The winger has been linked with a move to West Ham after not getting the first-team appearances he would have hoped for in his first season in Germany following his move from Basel last summer.

He has managed just 11 Bundesliga stars this season, which has alerted others to his possible availability and both Arsenal and Manchester United were also linked but Hammers boss Sam Allardyce was also said to be very keen.

Italian side Lazio are rumoured to be also watching, so there are no shortage of takers but he is content in Germany.

He told the Rheinische Post: "There are rumours, this is true, but now is not the time to talk about it. I want to collect trophies with Borussia.

"It's true, I've had little game time, but I'm happy in this environment. Borussia Monchengladbach is where I like to be."
