Olympiakos goal-hero Joel Campbell has signaled his intent to return to Arsenal next season, after hitting a wonder-goal in the 2-0 victory over Manchester United in the Champions League last night, reports the Metro.

The 21-year-old Costa Rican forward is yet to appear for the Gunners since joining in 2011, having previously had loan spells in Spain, France and now Greece.

But his stunning goal last night is sure to attract attention to his talent, and it appears the youngster is desperate to make his mark in England.

Speaking before the Champions League clash, Campbell said: “As soon as Arsenal came, I wanted to join them and I believe I am ready to play for Arsenal next season.

“I know I have the capacity to play there. I am only waiting for the opportunity. With hard work I know I can get there.

“United showed an interest in me when I was moving to Europe but I have been an Arsenal fan since I was a child and that’s why I chose them.”
