Italy forward Mario Balotelli could return to the Premier League this summer, according to the Express.

The AC Milan striker is likely to leave the San Siro, after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League next season. And reports are suggesting that Milan have already looked to sell the forward ahead of the World Cup.

Borussia Dortmund were believed to have enquired about Balotelli, but were put off by the Italian club’s demands. But Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are all on alert with the news that the striker could be available.

Balotelli left Manchester City in 2013, leaving behind plenty of controversy. The 23-year-old was rumoured to be in a number of bust ups, including with then manager Roberto Mancini. Despite being a favourite with a large number of City fans, the Italian, who revealed a shirt reading ‘why always me?’ after scoring in a 6-1 defeat of Manchester United, was sold to Milan for £21million.

But a move back to England could be on the cards, with both Arsenal and Liverpool able to offer Champions League football, whilst Spurs are keen to sign a top striker, after Roberto Soldado’s disappointing first spell at White Hart Lane, scoring just 6 league goals.
