Arsenal and Liverpool target Hamburg ace
South Korean star Heung-Min Son has stalled in contract talks with Hamburg, putting Liverpool and Arsenal on red alert as they try to prize the 20 year old away from Germany, reports The Metro.
The product of Dongbuk High School in his native country, Son has been in insatiable form for Hamburg this season, scoring 6 times in 12 appearances. The German team have been eager to negotitate a new deal with the youngster, tabling a brand new four-year deal last week.
However, in an interview with German newspaper Bild on Tuesday, Son stated “It’s very hard to say that I will renew at the moment”. His comments have alerted a number of top European clubs who have been scouting him over the past few weeks. French side Monaco, Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund along with Arsenal and Liverpool have all declared their interest. However, it is thought that Anfield may be the most likely destination for Hueng-Min Son, with first team football up for grabs, thanks to a lack of strikers in Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
It is believed that a bid of around £8 million will convince Hamburg to part with their in-form striker, if he can not be persuaded to sign a new deal at the Imtech Arena.
