Arsenal face a home fixture against West Brom tomorrow with the Gunners desperately looking to secure a result.

They sent a weakened team to Athens midweek and paid the price against Olympiakos losing 2-1 in the Champions League. Their last home fixture was not too successful either as they conceded two Michu goals to lose 2-0 to Swansea.

The Gunners have several key players out with injury and they face a tricky task securing all three points against the Baggies who have been this season’s surprise package. Lukas Podolski (hamstring) and Theo Walcott (calf) are the most notable absentees for Saturday’s Premier League clash.

The latter is becoming a pressing issue for Arsene Wenger and he has stated his frustration at the failure to conclude Theo Walcott’s contract negotiations already.

“Honestly, I am frustrated. Between the player and me it is all clear, he knows what he wants and he has to make up his mind,” Wenger said.

West Brom have practically a full squad to pick from for their trip to the Emirates and will be in buoyant mood as a result. They may have lost their last two Premier League outings, but the midweek 1-0 loss to Stoke at The Hawthorns would have been particularly disappointing for the high-flying Baggies. The only major player missing is Ben Foster who continues his rehabilitation from his groin operation and Boaz Myhill will deputise. Steve Clarke also has to decide whether he will recall the likes of Peter Odemwingie, James Morrison and Chris Brunt to the starting XI.

The Albion boss was quick to defend his managerial counterpart pre-game following the criticism he has received saying: “This week it is Mr Wenger, next week it might be someone else and the following week it will be someone else again. It’s the way the game is now.”

West Brom would be second in the league if games ended on 80 minutes while Arsenal have scored 5+ goals in four Premier League home games in 2012, more than any other side in the league, suggesting their could be goals in tomorrow’s clash.

Prediction: Arsenal 3 West Brom 1
