AC Milan have asked Arsenal if they can take Joel Campbell on loan as part of the deal that will see Mario Balotelli return to the Premier League, according to MailOnline.

The Italian giants are keen on bringing the Costa Rican striker on a season-long loan deal, particularly if Arsenal complete their £25million move for San Siro outcast Balotelli.

Campbell impressed on loan at Olympiakos last season and has recently been tipped for a return to the Emirates as the man to spearhead Arsenal’s bid for Premier League glory next season.

But the Gunners’ pursuit of Balotelli could knock the striker back down the Gunners’ pecking order, making another loan move a tempting prospect.

And Arsene Wenger is also exploring the possibility of bringing Bayern Munich’s’s Mario Mandzukic to north London should the Balotelli deal break down, while he is also showing an interest in Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez.

No way. I’m sure Joel will be great as the 3rd striker. If giroud or whomever we bring in gets injured he could see real playing time. 3rd choice arsenal striker is not a lousy place to be in looking at the gunners injury problems.
