Arsene Wenger may have taken some stick for his decision to start Yaya Sanogo in tonight’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, but he happens to have made history by doing so.

Liverpool and Tottenham fans will watching Arsenals game cheering on the Germans, no doubt, but there’s one little thing they won’t be able to laugh about, particularly after the stick they’ve given the Gunners for Sanogo.

Because the striker has, in fact, made more Champions League appearances than both the Reds and Spurs over the last two seasons.

Sanogo and Arsenal having the last laugh…
