For many years, Roy Keane was a thorn in Arsenal’s proverbial side. Amid the countless Premier League title clashes between the Gunners and Manchester United, the ex-Ireland international went to war with Arsenal captain Patrick Viera, and let’s just say it was never pretty – as highlighted in their recent documentary together on ITV.

But rather surprisingly, in the pre-match build-up to today’s FA Cup tie against Everton, ol’ Keano has managed to re-build some bridges with the Emirates faithful. The former Red Devils skipper decided to stick up for the much-criticised Mesut Ozil, as well as the club in general, and condemn the form of the injured Jack Wilshere, leading to a rather loving Twitter response from these Gunners fans:
