Arsenal Legend happy to see Dane at the Emirates
Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has thrown Michael Laudrup’s name into the ring to replace Arsene Wenger as the Gunners boss.
Wenger is under increased pressure at the Emirates after losing to Championship mid table side Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup last week and giving themselves a mountain to climb in the Champions League after a home defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich.
It seems Arsenal’s eight year wait for a trophy will continue and Gunners fans are slowly turning on their manager so it is perhaps time for the Frenchman to get his coat.
The Sun columnist and Arsenal legend Wright feels that it would be a shame for Wenger and the North London club to depart on bad terms.
However if the long serving Gunners boss does leave the club in the coming months, Wright would be more than happy to see Swansea boss Michael Laudrup make the step up after his impressive start to live in South Wales.
“Laudrup could maybe step in, who knows,” Wright said.
“There is so much pressure mounting on Arsene now I would hate to see him go out like that.”
