Arsenal starlet Santi Cazorla feels that if the Gunners cut out their blatant errors they could have won trophies this season.

The Spanish international has been one of the Gunners best players this after his big money move from Malaga in the summer as he has adapted well to English football.

Arsenal are now five points adrift of fourth place Chelsea and a further two from arch rivals Tottenham in the race for Champions League football.

The Gunners only hope of silverware this season is with the Champions League, but they must turn round a 3-1 deficit away at in-form Bayern Munich to advance to the quarter finals.

Domestic cup exits to Bradford City and Blackburn Rovers have not gone down well with supporters of the North London club and Arsene Wenger has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks.

However, Cazorla believes that next season can be their year fit they eradicate the individual errors.

“On the pitch, we have definitely had our ups and downs — there have been good times and bad times,” Cazorla told The Sun.

“I think that the team has lacked a bit of consistency and sometimes we have made mistakes that have cost us dearly.

“Removing these from our game will help us improve in the future.”
