Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla says that he will make a decision on his future after the World Cup amid speculation that Atletico Madrid are keen on him.

The Spanish playmaker is currently in Brazil with his national side, but his spell at the Emirates Stadium is the subject of much doubt.

Since his FA Cup Final heroics for the Gunners, Cazorla has been heavily linked with a move to Atletico, with reports having indicated that the La Liga champions are confident of agreeing a £16m deal for the 29-year-old.

The Spanish side look set to lose a host of top name players such as Diego Costa and Filipe Luis, but will re-invest some of the cash in their first-team.

Cazorla is seen as a top target, but the player himself says that he will not even consider a move until after the World Cup:

“When the World Cup is over, I’ll start thinking about my situation,” He is quoted by The Metro.

“I don’t want to be thinking about it right now and I’ve told my agents not to tell me anything if an offer comes in.

“But I know a few of the Atlético players – Godín, Juanfran and I know the side well from when I was playing the Spanish league but until the tournament is over, I won’t know if the rumours are true or not.”
