Arsenal are considering making a third bid for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, according to the Telegraph.

Yesterday the striker was quoted in the Uruguayan media as saying: “For now, owing to the affection shown me by the people, I would be staying.”

But Suarez was quick to deny the reports, adding: “I didn’t say it. Maybe someone else did; the main thing is that I am here now with the national team.”

The Gunners are keen to test Liverpool’s hold of the unsettled striker, after they made him train alone last week. Despite staying firm on his stance that the forward is not for sale, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has punished Suarez for his comments disrespecting him and the club.

While they wait for Liverpool to change their mind on the striker, Arsenal have taken hope from Suarez’s public refusal to accept that he will be staying at Anfield. Wenger is keen to sign Suarez, after missing out on Gonzalo Higuain earlier in the transfer window. With just over two weeks left, the Frenchman is yet to spend a penny on a transfer fee.

While he waits to see if Liverpool accept his side’s third bid for Suarez, Wenger must focus on Arsenal’s home match against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Will Suarez be sold this summer? Should Arsenal be chasing him?

Arsenal are becoming a joke!Because they always stupidly sell their best players to Prem. opposition, they think the likes of LFC will do the same. They also obviously dont understand plain English ! Suarez WILL NOT be sold to another Prem club, least of all direct competition like Arse-nal or Spuds !End of Story, for God sake.

I totally agree with mazbass, Arsenal and Wenger are a joke. What makes him think Suarez would want to leave Liverpool and join Arsenal who have not won anything over the past 10 years. Suarez wants champions league we all know that, but if Suarez did leave by the time he can play for Arsenal they will be already knocked out of Champions League by Fenerbahce. Also Liverpool will finish above Arsenal this year so it would be funny if Suarez did join Arsenal with no Champions League this year or next. Move on Arsenal nobody wants to join you.

Only one party can and will decide if, when and to which club Suarez will ultimately be sold. It’s not up to Suarez or Arsenal. There is absolutely no way Liverpool will sell him to Arsenal. This is much more than about money. It’s about Liverpool’s stature in the game as a global club, it’s about not selling your prized asset to a rival and it’s a statement of intent that Liverpool are determined to keep their best players so that they can challenge for a Champions League place in the Premier League. Not least, the owners and the manager have been absolutely clear and unequivocal that Suarez will not be sold (especially to Arsenal) and they will not wish to lose face and reputation by changing course

Frency you are clearly another deluded liverpool fan you haven’t got a chance of finishing in the top 4 let alone the top 6 your the second best team in merseyside stop living in the past. Personally not too bothered about Suarez keep him, your team is the laughing stock of the premier league carroll and downing for combined 55m to be sold year and half later for 20m haha. Enjoy fighting for a europa league spot (well if your lucky that is).
