Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for midfielder Lukas Podolski, reports Goal.com

The Gunners are hoping to recoup the majority of the £11million it cost them to sign the German from FC Köln back in 2012. Despite having two years left on his current deal at the Emirates, Arsenal are hoping to offload Podolski this summer.

Santi Cazorla, Per Mertesacker, Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky all recently signed contract extensions with the club, however Poldolski was not offered a new deal. The German has only made 14 appearances in the Premier League this season, and his recent goals against Swansea City, and Bayern Munich in the Champions League, don’t seem to be enough to earn his stay at the Emirates.

Since fellow German Mesut Özil arrived at the club in the summer, Podolski’s playing time has been limited, with the 29-year-old often relying on injuries to his teammates to get onto the field.

And now Podolski could be departing England, with rumoured interest from Serie A clubs. Bundesliga side FC Schalke were also interested in the Gunner last summer, and could make a move for Podolski in a few months, especially with Julian Draxler expected to depart the Veltins Arena. Draxler could even move to Arsenal, after a failed bid from the Gunners in January.
