Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha.

It has been reported that the Gunners, Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool are all targeting the England talent, with Arsenal potentially looking at him to come in for Theo Walcott, whose future at the club is doubtful.

However, other co-chairman of Crystal Palace, Steve Browett told the media earlier this week that they would not be selling him, telling a forum for Crystal Palace fans that Zaha “is not ‘for sale’…  He’s on a five-year contract and we really don’t need the money.”

Nevertheless, Parish may have signalled that there could be hope for the clubs targeting Zaha, by suggesting that offers above £20 million could spark an interest, though it remains to be seen if any of the interested clubs would actually make such a high offer.

Parish said to the South London Press: “He is an extraordinary talent. I said at the start of the season that keeping hold of Wilf would be like spending a lot of money on transfer. Other sides can fly their kites but it would take £20 million before we even got interested. He has got the lot, provided he keeps his feet on the ground and continues working so hard on his game – then it will all come.”

Zaha won the award for The Football League’s Young Player of the Year in March and is one of the hot properties currently plying their trade in England’s second tier.

“People would have to compensate us accordingly for losing his talent – that is what a transfer fee is. All the teams have got to understand that you get £60 million in TV money if you get into the Premier League, which is where we want to get.  So we’d need to be compensated for reducing our chances,” Parish added.

Keep Zaha for yourself. There are better players at that price

Great player but not at this price… anything above 12 million is a stretch.
