Arsene Wenger was quick to bring up the topic of the World Cup and the disruptions that would be faced in recruiting this summer. In typical Arsenal fashion, an excuse was quickly served up, possibly indicating that fans are set for another underwhelming transfer window.

But the club have been linked with a large number of players ahead of the opening of the transfer period, with many fitting the bill of what Arsenal need to be title contenders next season.

There are also positives that not all transfer are as complex as Arsenal try to make fans believe. There are plenty of opportunities to strengthen ahead of the start of the World Cup, and these are six names who would be good additions at the Emirates this summer.

I personally don’t want Remy at Arsenal I think we can do better, if we want to win big trophies we need big players and players who have played the top level and are champions.

I would take Balotelli/Hernanzdez/Benzema upfront, bring Vela back for cover and bring back Wellington and Joel Campbell plus keep Podolski and Giroud that’s enough cover upfront because Walcott can play there if needs be aswell. In midfield Lars Bender, Sami Khedira, Javi Martinez, Gundogan or Fabregas. Defenders; Micah Richards, Serge Aurier for RB and Subotic if Vermealen leaves.

I would only bring vela and our 2 loaned players back for up front because I feel Giroud is a good striker he just got tired mid january because he was constantly picked and had no cover and for cdm i would take lars bender or gundogan. Hopefully sagna stays but if he doesnt I thuink aurier is a great replacement

Micah Richards is cool. He could play as a right back and also at the centre. Midfield, be it central, defensive i believe James Milner is up to the task. He is disciplined. Attack, i would prefer Reus.
