While he is coming to the latter stages of his career at the age of 31 and wouldn’t be a signing for the future, Wenger has publicly displayed his interest in the Spaniard.
It seems likely that the man with over 200 La Liga goals will move on from Barcelona in the summer, and he could provide Wenger with that bit of experience and know-how up front which they are currently lacking.
While the signing would represent a gamble, if the price is right then it could be one that works for Arsenal. He is a clinical finisher with the type of game that you feel would suit the Gunners.
