Andrei Arshavin should have departed this January, and although there was some interest from relegation battlers Reading, it seems quite clear that there isn’t too much interest in the Russian winger.
Now 31 years old, Arshavin has scored just once in the last two years, and is way down the pecking order at the Emirates.
Frankly, I can’t remember the last time i saw Arshavin play well. Every performance is filled with heavy touches, weak passes and terribly inaccurate shots and crosses.
Arshavin needs to go – he’s simply making up the numbers, and the rumoured £4million price-tag is a decent prize for a player who can’t kick a ball straight.
