Sebastian Squillaci is still yet to produce a convincing performance since moving to the Emirates in 2010, and the fact he’s made just a single league appearance over the last two seasons sums it up really.
He still gets a place on the bench on occasion, but Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal fans and every football fan across the country knows he’s there to simply fill up the numbers.
Critics of Wenger have said that he’s never actually signed a good defender. The case of Sebastian Squillaci, who cost the Gunners around £6million, would certainly back up that theory.
