The Polish stopper hasn’t really looked up to the challenge over the course of the season, which has led to speculation that Arsene Wenger may look elsewhere this summer.
Liverpool’s Pepe Reina has been suggested, and would certainly be an upgrade, while Saint-Etienne number one Simon Ruffier, who has been in fine form lately, would be an alternative.
Many top defenders say that a solid goalkeeper gives them a greater level of confidence, so maybe a new man between the sticks would go some way to strengthening Arsenal’s rear-guard.
