It's actually more difficult to learn your trade out wide because of the amount of decisions that you have to make in a game - when to pass, shoot, dribble, look inside, track back etc - so it's made Walcott a much more rounded player, so if he flourishes in the middle now, then fair play to Wenger.

A case well stated.Great performance against a tiring Toon defence, but his goals were typical winger or un-marked poacher type goals. All Theos success including his England hat-trick has come from his natural wide position-he has all the freedom he needs out there to express himself and to build upon his success. He is not a target man, and if we play without a true CF, where will the aerial threat come from and who is going to go in where it hurts in the war zone? We've got someone like that already-he's big and he's French-not at all little and nippy. If Theo at CF is marked out of the game, our attacking threat becomes minimal. Not only do we have AOC learning the ropes out wide, but there's no target man to aim for. That leaves the last resort of bringing on Giroud to try and salvage the game and playing catch up is no way to succeed we need to have the full Arsenal up front from the Kick off.Time to stop pandering to Theo and play to oor full strength for the rest of the season-he's got his pay rise!
