Premier League in the not too distant future.

The Belgian international has praised his manager for his determination to field so many youngsters. He believes that it bodes well for the upcoming games.

Benteke was one of eight players under 23 years of age who started against Reading on Tuesday night and the £7 million signing sees the positive influence it has on the side’s desire.

The summer signing from Genk has shone for Villa since his move to the Premier League manage to net 5 goals in the process.

He now believes he is settled at Villa Park and integrated himself within the system as his side managed to climb out of the relegation zone with Tuesday night’s win.

Despite this he insisted the effort needed to remain with his winning goal being their first goal in over 5 hours of football and only their 3rd win of the campaign so far.

Benteke spoke to the Birmingham Mail saying: “We have a young team but it is good for the future,”

“Everybody is trying to make his best effort to continue. I think I am settling in very well.

‘‘I have been here two or three months now and I think everything is going to be okay.”

Next up for Aston Villa is a trip to Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road at 3pm this Saturday.
