Bayern Munich have expressed an interest in 16-year-old Aston Villa defender Easah Suliman, according to the Daily Mail.

The defender has caught the eye of Bayern Munich scouts playing in the FA Youth Cup, having previously impressed whilst captaining England at Under-17 level.

Suliman – from Hall Green in Birmingham – has been at Villa since the age of eight, and was spotted by the club while playing in a tournament at Butlins holiday park.

The defender is set to turn 17 in January, and has impressed at youth level this season, showing his versatility with some solid performances at left back.

Bayern have continued to scour England for potential young talent, as they did with Tranmere Rovers protege Dale Jennings.

The Liverpool youngster impressed with early performances, but failed to settle in Germany and has since returned to England, where he is with Championship strugglers Barnsley.
