Premier League return, following his arrival at Paris Saint-Germain.

The former England captain penned a 5-month contract with the French giants, after leaving MLS winners Los Angeles Galaxy at the back end of last year.

He was heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League, with QPR believed to be interested in his signature.

But, the midfielder revealed that the only English team he would have considered playing for was former club Manchester United:

“Unless it was Manchester United I wouldn’t want to play for a Premier League team.” He is quoted by Sky Sports.

Beckham was linked with a number of high profile clubs from all corners of the globe following his spell in America.

He was believed to have received proposals from clubs in Australia, China and the Middle East as well as from European sides such as Monaco.

But, he said that he was attracted to PSG due to their project, but that he was flattered by the interest he received:

“I’m very lucky. I’m 37 years old and I had more offers now than I’ve had in my career. I chose Paris because I can see what the club are trying to do.

“It’s an exciting city, but now there’s a club that’s going to have a lot of success over the next 10, 15, 20 years. To be part of something that’s growing is something that’s very exciting to me.”

Beckham will also link up with manager Carlo Ancelotti, whom he played under at AC Milan, a man that he has great respect for:

“Carlo’s one of the best managers I’ve worked with.”
