The Metro.

The England international has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most exciting young talents this season after numerous impressive displays for the Baggies.

Despite being highly rated by the Midlanders, Berahino’s future is the subject of much doubt, with his current contract set to expire in 18 months’ time.

Steve Clarke is desperate to keep him at the Hawthorns, however negotiations regarding an extension to this deal between the club and the 20-year-old are some way from being completed.

An offer of £7,000-per-week has been made to the starlet, but he is thought to have dismissed this.

Chelsea and Arsenal have been alerted to the situation, and are able to pay Berahino a considerably larger basic salary to swap West Bromwich for London.

Both clubs see the versatile attacker as a top talent, and are keen to snap him up early.

If Berahino chases a switch, West Brom may be forced to sell at a discounted rate in January, with his value set to deplete as the time on his contract reduces.

Would a move to Arsenal or Chelsea be good for Saido Berahino? Or should he stay with West Brom?
