Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has started the mind games by taking shots at Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, reports the Daily Mirror.

Mourinho branded Arsene Wenger’s side ‘boring’, following Monday night’s goalless draw at the Emirates, claimed Liverpool were only top of the league as they are not in Europe, and said that Tottenham’s appointment of Tim Sherwood was a total irrelevance.

Mourinho’s side can go top of the Premier League table with a victory over Swansea at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.

And the Portuguese coach was clearly riled by claims his team had set out to defend during Monday night’s bore draw in North London.

“They called us boring – but I think boring is a team that plays at home and cannot score a goal. That’s boring!” Mourinho said.

“Because you go to your stadium and you fill your stadium, in weather like we had on Monday, to see victories.

“There is not a home fan in any club in the world who goes to the stadium and expects his team not to score or win. If any team was boring, they were boring because Petr Cech made zero saves.”

Mourinho then turned his attention to Liverpool, who visit Stamford Bridge on Sunday, by making a sly dig at the fact Brendan Rodgers men have no European football to concern themselves with this season.

“It is not a coincidence that before the Arsenal game we had time to work, a whole week, which we haven’t had since the summer.

“I had three days to work tactically, on everything I wanted to work on.

“It was a special week for us. It was the kind of week Liverpool has every week. You know what I mean?”

And finally Mourinho had a dig at Spurs, claiming he was not concerned by the club’s appointment of Tim Sherwood.

“That is not my problem, really,” he added.

“My only problem is to feel sorry that one manager lost his job a couple of days before Christmas where he was completely enthusiastic about going forward with his contract at Tottenham.

“That is my only concern and my thought are only going to Andre and the other four guys who lost their jobs.

“Who they appoint, if it is permanent or not permanent, if he is experienced or not experienced, to me, to be fair, is not a problem.”
