AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has hinted that he may be open to a move to Chelsea by declaring that he would like to reunite with Jose Mourinho.

‘Mad Mario’ played under the now Blues boss at Inter Milan, and has been linked with a move away from the San Siro in recent weeks.

He’s been mooted as a possible target for the London club of late, with reports suggesting they are keen to sign a top class goalscorer.

Despite having had a stormy relationship with Mourinho at Inter, Balotelli says that he has great respect for ‘The Special One’ and would like to work with him again:

“Of course I would like to play under Jose again. In my first days at Inter we had some problems, but then it turned into a mutual respect, and now we have a real friendship.” he is quoted by The Mirror.

“It is never boring playing under Jose. When you are in Mourinho’s team it is a family and he coaches on the principal that if all is well with the family it doesn’t matter what is going on outside the team.”

Balotelli only joined Milan last year after leaving Manchester City.

Despite helping the Sky Blues to lift the Premier League trophy, the 23-year-old’s spell in England is more noted for his off-field antics, which frequently made front-page headlines.
