Daily Mail.

It has not been plain sailing for Mourinho since his return to Stamford Bridge in the summer with three defeats already on the board and fans bemusement at the decisions to loan out Romelu Lukaku and benching of Juan Mata.

The Portuguese ‘Special One’ is not a fan of the international breaks and he feels the clubs lose out and lose momentum when they crop up from month to month.

After the last break, Chelsea suffered back to back defeats at the hands of Everton and Basle and Mourinho is desperate not to see a repeat performance as the Blues face Cardiff on Saturday which is their first game of five in the space of 15 days.

“I didn’t like the period – Four players to train. For the kids it is nice. But from the team perspective it is bad,” Mourinho said.

“We lost against Everton and Basle immediately after that period; it always puts some question marks.”
